4th Grade Project Ideas

1.) Life’s Emotional Impact = 2 color abstract painting – Art History Connection: Robert Motherwell, the NY school and Abstract Expressionism – Medium: Tempera paint

Challenge: = Use two colors to show the emotional impact of a historical moment in your life. It can reflect any emotion (good or bad), as long as it conveys a complex portrayal of a specific event in your life.

2.) A New Perspective = Use a viewfinder to isolate a section of the Life’s Emotional Impact painting and create replica paintings based on the isolated view.  Create at least 4 replica paintings each with different 2-color combination.  Art History Connection: Conceptualism and Pop Art. – Medium: Tempera paint
