Mason Arts Academy - Art Teacher

I have led and assisted with teaching students between the ages of 4 to 16. I have taught a wide variety of classes that pertain to foundational design, art history, media exploration, technology, in-novation, and discovery.

For each class, I create a curriculum that resonates with student interests, and challenges them both as artists and thinkers. For younger students, the projects conclude with a game and/or fun learning activity.  These games provide the class with a sense of community, and reinforces prior learning.  Students are able to im-prove upon their communication and teamwork skills in fun and interactive ways. For older students, technology and new ways of thinking are infused into the projects. Students are free to explore and discover new media and art-making strategies.
