Students will learn about Automatism
Students will learn about Surrealism and Acrylic Paint. They will utilize this knowledge to paint a surreal new world, a world entirely of their imagination.
Students will learn about Clay and use this medium to sculpt a resident of their surreal new world.
Students at the Mason Community Arts Academy of GMU created Papier-mâché sculptures of their residents.
Different elements of these lessons have been taught to upper elementary students, middle school students and high school students.
